Indie rock and progressive funk-pop coalesce in the sounds of Dallas David Ochoa. His music delves into many musical territories and has been likened to the sounds of Prince, Dave Matthews, Elvis Costello, Mike Patton, and Frank Zappa. A Texas-born singer-songwriter, Dallas has thrived in big city music scenes including Denver, Vegas, Portland, and most recently Southern New Mexico.
He has performed at a number of songwriter showcases and festivals around the country.
Dallas’ music has been featured on NBC and is currently in rotation on 99.1 FM - Portland Radio Project, 90.3 FM - Freeform Portland, Radio Hot Tub, and a variety of internet and college stations across the globe. Dallas’ unique music shines in any musical formation — solo or full band.
His most recent release, “In Tatters”, a 5 song EP produced, mixed, and mastered by acclaimed producer, Cass Anawaty, of Sonoran Mastering and is available now on Bandcamp!
Dallas is currently busy in the studio with his bandmates and some of the best players in the world wrapping up a brand new collection of music called “Creature Of Habit” — set for release in early 2022.
Dallas is taking a sidestep away from indie rock on his upcoming contemporary instrumental EP “If These Walls” - to be released on Heart Dance Records on April 24, 2021 with the preceding single from the EP, “Cliff House”, dropping on March 12, 2021 on all platforms!
